THERAPY IS DIGNITY

We believe that the body and the mind work together,
and these kids deserve attention to both.

We have an in-house team of physical, occupational, and speech therapists who work one-on-one or in small classes with
children in our program and provide them with the attention they need, depending on their disability.

We have 5 private therapy rooms that are filled with therapy equipment to help strengthen the children’s muscles, coordination and confidence. Many of our children have cerebral palsy; this causes severe muscular spasticity and poor coordination. Each therapist works hard to help our kids attain their goals, and we have seen great improvement in all of our kids.

We also offer horse riding therapy sessions off campus once a week to those that can handle balancing on a horse. This strengthens their core, and improves their balance and coordination. Each horse is gentle and somehow knows that our kids are special. Therapy is only a piece of the puzzle at Heshima, but it is a big piece. All our programs work together building this puzzle to provide as much support as we can for our families.
